"Good writing is like a window pane."

 Effective Expression

Due to requests from both parents and students, The Art of Eloquence is

extending its writing program and offering summer writing workshops in July

and August, 2015. Classes will be held Mondays to Thursdays from 10:00

to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 16:00.

The Art of Eloquence is a writing workshop dedicated to helping high school    students learn how to write narrative, descriptive, persuasive and expository essays by teaching them how to engage in critical thinking, how to narrow the scope of a subject, and how to use correct writing conventions.

This course is an excellent way for students to acquire and develop solid writing skills without fear of failure. Students learn without the pressure of grades, which means they can relax and accept that making mistakes is a normal part of the process.

Writing well can be mastered and The Art of Eloquence is here to help that happen.

The Art of Eloquence recognizes that in order to write well, students must first be well versed in reasoning. This is vital for comprehension, analysis and expression. Our workshops help students hone critical thinking skills.

Futhermore, research can be an overwhelming prospect for students. Our classes show them how to pick a topic, break it down into its essential parts, and put it together again in a way that relates to their papers.

Finally, in our writing workshops, students learn that good writing is more than self-expressionit includes appropriate word choice; correct grammar and punctuation; clear, concise and organized ideas; well-reasoned arguments; and necessary sources and citations. They also learn about the importance of revisions and how to make them.
